In the early 90s, King Richard's Faire was the first (and best) place I had a Bloomin' Onion- there was a designated shop selling just the onions and you could watch them make each one- I wonder if it's still set up like that or incorporated into one of the many other eateries.
There weren't that many food options in the years that I attended- maybe 10 to 12, but now they have more than triple that- including gluten and lactose free options.. and my personal favorite- vegetarian options (including a veggie burger!).
But, most people don't go just for the food- one of the biggest draws are the jousting tournaments, which happen several times a day. But there are also music, comedy, and other performances throughout the Faire grounds- as well over a hundred artisans offering an endless assortment of wares in their unique shops.
